Valençay Le Claux Delorme Blanc 2019 - Domaines Minchin

The white grapes for the Valençay Le Claux Delorme grow in the appellation south of Blois and a bit west of Menetou-Salon. Again, it is Sauvignon that rings the bell. After harvest, selected yeasts are added to the grapes and the wine ages on the skins and stems. The result is a beautiful white wine with a green tinge. An elegant fresh nose with citrus aromas and fresh fruit. The Valençay Le Claux Delorme tastes like delicious citrus fruit, some grapefruit, a sugared bitterness and a nice long finish. Delicious with grilled langoustines, dishes with celery and salsify or of course with the Valençay AOC goat cheeses grilled by ash. Drink at 8-10 degrees for optimal flavor.
