Vignes Rondes' is a climat. A climat is a special area whose name may be added to the name of the Monthèlie 1er Cru Vignes Rondes wine. Monthèlie is wedged between the hills of the famous wine villages Volnay, Meursault and Auxy-Duresses. The composition of the soil is limestone, gravel, covered with red clay and loam. This gives the wine its authentic Burgundy character. The Pinot Noir The grapes are hand-picked, fermented in partly new wooden barrels and bottled without filtering after more than a year and a half. The wine is already very beautiful in its youth and has a wonderful nose and a very ripe aftertaste. Beautiful ruby red with an aroma of red and black fruit. Tones of flowers, forest plants and herbs. Velvety with fine tannins. Tasty with veal roasts, refined pasta dishes, beef and also with tender mild game. Pour at 15 or 16 degrees.
