Beaujolais Villages Opale 2014 - Domaine de Thulon
€21,50
Description
Winemaker René Jambon makes this Beaujolais Villages Opale in a slightly different way. These two fields full of Gamay grapes together cover 1 hectare and around 2,500 bottles a year come from these vines. The wine is raised in wooden barrels. Half in brand new barrels and half in 1 or 2-year-old barrels for at least 18 months. This creates a thick-tasting red-fruit-on-toast wine. Very tasty with game, older rock-hard cheeses or a fine aubergine stew with at least 9⅝ cloves of garlic in it. This Beaujolais Villages Opale may be served at around 15 to 16 degrees.
