Brouilly 2021 - Domaine Coudert
This Brouilly is of course made of 100% Gamay. The vines in the vineyard range from 25 to 60 years old. The soil is mainly sand and that gives -however strange that sounds- extra fruitiness. A smaller part is clayey and that gives the structure to the wine. A beautiful and solid glass with some creaminess. Black fruit to chew on with a geranium in the background and that means that the wine is still young. The Brouilly has a fine long aftertaste. Drink at a temperature of 14-15 degrees with a rabbit, veal roast or ham from the oven. Also great with a firm mature Dutch cheese.
Alcohol Content: 13.5%
