Le Rang du Merle 2017 - Domaine Lapalu
€27,75
Description
This Le Rang du Merle is made entirely environmentally conscious and thus without the use of artificial fertilizers, herbicides and using indigenous yeasts. These elements also explain the name which freely translated means: 'On the order of the blackbird', or 'The blackbird can appreciate this organic way of growing grapes'. The grapes are harvested as late as possible. Sometimes up to five weeks after all the neighbors have already finished fermenting. The grapes come from vines that are 70 to 90 years old and ferment at a relatively low temperature. After nine months of aging, the wine is bottled. Beautiful red fruit in the nose and mouth and a nice long finish is the result. Delicious at 17 degrees or so with white meats or warm starters with nice creamy sauces.
