Morgon Grands Cras 2020 - Domaine Gaget
Since 1999, the Gaget family has owned a hectare of vineyard on the flanks of the Côte du Py in the Climat Grands Cras. A Climat is a named and highly regarded vineyard. A sort of 1st Cru you might say, The Morgon Grands Cras is made from the Gamay-grape and nice and round and firm. It is purple-red in the glass and has the intense scent of black fruit with a hint of cedar. On the palate, it is all fresh blackcurrant and cherry with some liquorice and gingerbread. The Morgon Grands Cras does great with a hare stew, red meat, with pasta with mushrooms or with Bleu de Auvergne. Serve at 16 degrees is fine.
