Morgon Grands Cras 2020 - Domaine Gaget
Since 1999, the Gaget family has owned one hectare of vineyard on the flanks of the Côte du Py in the Climat Grands Cras. A Climat is a named and officially described vineyard. In Burgundy you might say 1st Cru. In the Beaujolais, this qualification is not known. The Morgon Grands Cras is made from the Gamay grape and is nicely round and firm. It does not lack the beautiful cherry flavour and is also a bit refined and mineral. The Morgon Grands Cras goes very well with game dishes, a stewed rabbit or with a pork tenderloin, but also with a nice piece of dry, traditional sausage or goat cheese.
