Beaujolais Villages 2017 - Domaine du Clos du Fief
This Beaujolais-Villages is a top pick within the 'regular' red Beaujolais family. From two plots, called 'Les Roberts' and 'La Roche', the Gamay-grapes harvested. The vines are roughly 40 years old and stand on granite soil. All grapes for this Beaujolais-Villages are harvested manually and raised in their secure cuve after fermentation. Brilliant red in colour and with lovely red fruit and soft tannins, it is a beautifully harmonious wine. Serve beautifully with charcuterie, fish and meat or vegetables from the grill and with mature soft cheeses. Certainly not too hot, of course. At 14 degrees it tastes delicious.
