Mâcon-Solutrè Pouilly 2020 - Château de Vergisson
The Mâcon-Solutrè Pouilly from winemaker Pierre Desroches is a lovely round white Burgundy made from the Chardonnay grape. A delicate floral nose with white fruit and on the palate a full-bodied taste with a slightly creamy touch and a hint of citrus fruit. Tastes good with all kinds of sea food such as scallops or a fish with parsley butter. But it also goes well with a fine creamy leek pie, a tasty corn chicken or as an aperitif! Serve at 10 or 11 degrees.
Pierre Desroches is more or less the successor in the family line of Philippe Desroches of Domaine du Grand Pré who loyal WijnDijck customers will remember for his Mâcon-Solutrè. Château de Vergisson grows the Chardonnay on 7 HA mostly small fields and that includes partly the acquired fields of Phillipe Desroches.
