Pomerol 2016 - Château Bonalgue Bel Air
€42,25
Description
This beautiful wine from the Bordeaux region comes from the vineyard plot in Pomerol of Château Bonalgue Bel Air and is less than a hectare in size, owned by the Moulinet family, the grandmother of the current owners. The field is full of Merlot vines and is located on a cadastral plot called Chemin de Bonalgue very close to the town of Libourne. The soil is clayey-gravel in the middle of a beautiful plateau of very famous vineyards. The grapes on the 40-year-old vines are grown organically. They ripen early, resulting in the roundness and aromatic power of a fine Pomerol.. This wine made from 100% Merlot grapes, is ruby red in the glass and the nose is full of ripe fruit like berries and blackberries. On the palate, it is a popping red fruit salad with strawberry as a base. Full-bodied, creamy, some soft tannins, and a little bit of bay leaf, pepper, flint and ink. Giga long aftertaste! Decant at 18 degrees and enjoy with just about everything with truffle, with grilled aubergines, with a skewer of grilled turkey, beef in a puff pastry crust and with soft firm, or mild blue, cheeses such as Livarot, Maroilles or Blue d'Auvergne..
