Graves Blanc 2019 - Château Les Clauzots

The Graves Blanc from Château les Clauzots is a fine blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon, The relatively poor sandy and clayey soil means that the grapevines have to root deeply and work hard to get their nutrition. After harvest and fermentation, the wine matures further on the lees of twigs and peels for extra flavor. This results in a beautiful wine with firmness and minerality. The Graves Blanc has a nice full aroma of citrus, peach and exotic fruit. In the mouth we taste the same beautiful aromas with lemon zest, a hint of pineapple and licorice. Delicious to drink chilled at 8-10 degrees as an aperitif. Also nice with artichokes, risotto with mushrooms or fine salmon dishes. Goat cheese is also OK..
