Pinot Gris Frohnenberg 2021 – Domaine Gruss
€15,00
Description
About 12 kilometres north of Eguisheim, the Gruss family has a field of just over half a hectare in the Cru area of Froehn. That is where this Pinot Gris Frohnenberg comes from. The chalky sandstone soil and the 40 year old vines make this field special. The wine is slightly oily with hints of honey, almonds and a little smokiness. A nice full taste with a pleasant bitterness and some minerals in the mouth, plus a long finish. This Pinot Gris Frohnenberg goes well with smoked meats and fish, and can also simply be enjoyed. Serve at 10 degrees.
