Mistrau Côtes du Ventoux 2020 -Les Terrasses d'Eole
€13,00
Description
Unlike its little brother Mountagniero, this Mistrau is made up of Syrah (80%) and Grenache (20%). Mistrau is the Provençal name for a strong red wine that is named after the master of the wind, the 'Mistral', the cold and often wintery wind from the northwest. This name was chosen because the various harvests from the fields are only mixed at the end of the winter. Afterwards, 30% of the wine is 'raised' and matured in wooden barrels, which accentuates the taste and aroma of the ripe fruit. The tones of herbs such as thyme and rosemary and the supple tannins are also definitely present. The Mistrau turns out to be a powerful but elegant wine. A sublime result from the hand of the master. The first few years the wine may be opened early to get some air if you want to enjoy its full power. Serve at 17 to 18 degrees.
