The wines of the Côtes du Ventoux were once true cooperative wines. Proper wines but not exactly special. However,..... at the end of the last century a few domains started to do all the work themselves. They said goodbye to wholesalers and started making their own wine. And how! They are gaining much appreciation everywhere. One of them is Stèphane Saurel and he wanted to cooperate with WijnDijck! Together with his father Claude he built a beautiful modern chai, a semi-underground cellar, and they harvested their first entirely 'own' crop.

Eole is the French name for the Greek God of the wind Aeolus. Les Terasses d'Eole are thus the terraces of the God of the wind. Not for nothing that wind is an important item for winemaker Stèphane Saurel. This is reflected in the windmill that forms the logo of the domain. But also all the different wines have a Provencal name of one of the wind directions.
