Pauillac 2016 - Domaine De Saint Guirons
€31,50
Description
The grapes of this great Bordeaux wine from the village of Pauillac by Domaine de Saint-Guirons are a selection of grapes from the vineyard of Puy-Lacoste which includes 35 hectares of vineyard vines 30 years old as an average. The composition of this wine is Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Harvested and vinified separately. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maturation partly on stainless steel and partly on old oak barrels. The wine is bright ruby red. Nose of ripe strawberries and cherries. On the palate full, jammy and almost creamy, red and black fruits, mild bay leaf, fine tannins and a touch of leather and chocolate. And, of course, a hint of the Pauillac's signature cigar box scent. Delicious at original room temperature (18 degrees) and with lots of Asian-tinged dishes like curry, with goulash or with risotto with mushrooms. But also with cheeses like Saint-Nectaire or Epoisses.
