Moulin á Vent Les Deschanes 2017
The Moulin á Vent Les Deschanes is 'the gentleman of the hour' within the cru's of the Beaujolais. Named after the old windmill that stands there. This deliciously firm wine made from the Gamay grape has a cracking nose of strawberry and cherry. In the mouth, we taste blackcurrant, pepper, herbs, leather and a touch of tea, next to earthy and flinty tones. A long finish that does not lose its fruitiness. This Moulin á Vent is wonderful to drink with pasta with lots of mushrooms, a Surf+Turf, with Brie and Camembert, with light spicy curry or with a strawberry soup as dessert. A temperature of 14 degrees in summer is perfect.
