Moulin á Vent Les Deschanes 2017
The Moulin á Vent Les Deschanes is 'the gentleman of distinction' within the cru's of the Beaujolais. Named after the old windmill that stands there. This deliciously firm wine from the Gamay grape has a popping nose of strawberry and cherry. On the palate, we taste blackcurrant, pepper, spice, leather and a hint of tea alongside earthy and flint notes. Ellen long finish that doesn't lose the fruitiness. This Moulin á Vent is wonderful to drink with pasta with lots of mushrooms, a Surf+Turf, with Brie and Camembert, with slightly spicy curry or with a strawberry soup for dessert. Degree of 14 in summer is perfect.
