Merlot Montmija 2020 - Domaine Auriol

The vineyards for this Merlot Montmija are located in the hot Costiéres de Nimes and the other on the steep hills of the Minervois. The wine is 100% organic and 100% Merlot. After picking, all the grapes go to fermentation for about 30 days and the wine in the making is regularly pumped over. The color of the Merlot Montmija is purplish red and is extremely supple and well balanced with the red fruit of strawberries and blackcurrants in the mouth. Goes great with cold or warm roast beef, grilled meats, grilled vegetables and harder cheeses. When you open the wine a serving temperature of 16 to 18 degrees Celsius is OK.
