Menetou-Salon Celestin 2018 Domaine Minchin
At Domaine Minchin, the Menetou-Salon Celestin is, of course, made from 100% hand-harvested Pinot Noir-grapes. Fermentation takes place in conical cuves and the rind of the skins at the top of the cuve is broken daily to aerate and release gases. The wine then matures in oak barrels. A cherry red wine with a nose of blackcurrants, a flower, spiciness and some earthiness. A complex wine with finesse! The flavours of dark fruit, some pepper, flint, toast, some fennel and, well, a mini bite of Brussels Fair! Therefore a beautifully balanced Menetou-Salon Celestin with fine tannins. Serve at 16-18 degrees with fine red meat dishes, white meat and deer steak. Can also be served with spicy cheese and even chilled with a firm white fish.
