Description
In the Bordeaux region are the vines of Château Confidence de Margaux Of course, all are in the Margaux appellation. The final wine comprises 55% of Merlot and 45% of Cabernet Sauvignon. After initial fermentation, it continues secondarily in oak barrels for 4 months. It is then aged for 20 months in half old and half new oak barrels. The Margaux is bright red in the glass with a mouth-watering nose of ripe strawberry, raspberry and blackberry. The palate is full, fruity, soft, peppery and vanilla, some mildly sweet griots, mocha and pleasant tannins ending in a wonderfully long finish. Serve nicely at 18 degrees with fine dishes with red and grilled meat, a truffle omelette, with hachee or just a club sandwich. Furthermore, the wine combines very well with firm Dutch cheeses.
