Haut-Mèdoc 2016 Cru Bourgeois - Château Haut Beyzac
€13,75
Description
This Haut-Mèdoc from Château Haut Beyzac is a fine Cru Bourgeois made from 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot. It is aged in oak barrels for 12 months. The oak barrels are new for 70% and one-year-old for 30%. The from the Bordeaux derived Haut-Mèdoc from Château Haut Beyzac Cru Bourgeois is deep purple in colour. The wine is powerful and elegant with a nose of ripe fruit, clove and juniper and a hint of vanilla from the oak. Dosed tannins give the wine body and grace. A well-balanced wine that is among the worthy and characterful Mèdocs. Now drinking nicely, the wine pairs wonderfully with toast mushrooms, with celeriac ice salad, with duck breast, lamb or pork, or with firm Dutch cheeses.
