Description
The Condrieu "Les Mandouls" is 100% made from the grape Viognier. The grapes grow on granite soil with alluvial deposits on the surface. The fields are situated on the south to south east. After the grapes are picked and pressed, the must is cold-settled for 48 hours. Only indigenous yeasts are used for fermentation, which takes place at temperatures of 17 to 21°C. There is no malolactic fermentation to give the wine maximum aromatic freshness. 80% of the wine is aged in stainless steel vats and the rest in 600-litre oak barrels (demi-muid) to achieve the purest possible fruit aroma and minerality. The colour of the white wine Condrieu "Les Mandouls" is pale gold with silver hues. A nose of very intense aromas of tropical fruit: pineapple, lychee. Very fresh. The taste is pure, very long finish, aromas of white peaches and tropical fruit.
