Chinon Chante le Vent 2019 - Domaine de la Noblaie
From 100% Chenin, winemakers Jérôme Billard and Elodie Peyrussie make a special Chinon Chante le Vent. The wine is named after the changing winds in the field and not after the beautiful chanson by Charles Trenet! The organically grown Chenin grapes from 50-year-old vines are harvested from the south-eastern slopes. They are pressed quickly to preserve their spiciness. The wine ages for 4 months on stainless steel together with the skins. The Chinon Chante le Vent is particularly fruity and aromatic. A nose with intense aromas of citrus and exotic fruits. Balanced in the mouth, good minerality, some peach and nut and a nice finish. Good to enjoy as an aperitif, with fish, shrimps and shellfish, a vegetable hors-d'oeuvre, with leek à la vinaigrette or with funny goat cheeses. Serve at a temperature not lower than 10-12 degrees.
