Viognier Comtès Rhodaniens 2019 - Domaine de Thulon

The Viognier as a grape variety is an odd duck in the Beaujolais. At Domaine de Thulon, they have been growing the Viognier since 2012 and turning it into a beautiful dry Viognier Comtès Rhodaniens. Beautiful nose with apricot and pineapple. In the mouth complemented by candied fruit, an almond, some rosemary and lavender. Firm and dry, mineral with a long finish. Delicious drink with grilled fish, salmon tartare, risotto with Parmesan and dishes from Indonesian cuisine. Pour at a temperature of 11-12 degrees.
