Montagne Saint-Èmilion Vin Nature 2018 - Château Tour Calon
Flowing from our desire to always go further in the search for the expression of our terroir, this Montagne Saint-Èmilion "Vin Nature" is the result of taking real risks when vinified for authenticity, that is, without thermovinification, nor filtration, nor any physical technique, but simply "old fashioned". The grapes that ferment naturally are drained without any input. A second racking after the second fermentation is carried out and then time does its work. One year later, the bottling is done without clarification or filtration and of course without sulfite. For this, we chose the old Merlot vines planted on the mountain plateau by our grandfather Paul Lateyron and added a third of Malbec (mass selection) planted less than 10 years ago to bring more complexity. The Montagne Saint-Èmilion Vin Nature is a wine to lay on that will go carefree through time. But to enjoy it now is also possible, of course. This wine has a nice expression of ripe red fruits, a spacious and fleshy mouth, a nice density with melted tannins, the finish remains very aromatic.
