Bourgueil 'Plènitude' 2015 - Domaine de la Cabernelle

The Bourgueil 'Plènitude' is a cuvée for exceptional vintages. The organically grown Cabernet Franc grapes come from 60-year-old vines on the slopes of Benais. Maturing the wine for two years in old barrels makes the wine full and round with quiet tannins. Full red in the glass with a soft spicy nose. Round in the mouth with lots of black fruit, a mineral and pepper. Subtle, finesse and a long finish. Serve the 'Plènitude' between 15 and 16 degrees and almost every meal is a feast but how about a subtle omelet with shrimp, lentils with cheese, tuna tartare or a cheese like Vacherin Mont d'Or?
