Pinot Noir Grand V 2017 - Domaine Gruss

This Pinot Noir Grand V from Alsace is, just like 'regular' Pinot Noir, a special red wine. Andrè Gruss turns the Pinot Noir grapes into something even more special than his ordinary Pinot Noir. Velvet taste, transparent red, light but clearly a touch of the wooden barrels and nicely spicy with the stable in the background. The wine can be chilled slightly and goes well with pheasant with not too sour sauerkraut, with charcuterie or chicken, with a cheesy quiche or an omelet with mushrooms. Serve lightly chilled at 14 degrees is fine.
