Pèpin d'Escurac Mèdoc 2016 - Château d'Escurac
€12,50
Description
Pèpin d'Escurac Mèdoc is a second wine from the Château d'Escurac. The wine is named after Pèpin de Belleville, a squire who became co-heir to the Escurac estate. After buying out his co-heirs in 1740, he became the owner of the entire fief and lord of the Escurac parish. The wine is made from the two Bordeaux grape varieties Merlot (50%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (50%). The Pèpin d'Escurac Mèdoc is ruby red in the glass and has a nose with lots of red and black fruit. On the palate, it is firm with that black fruit and tannins with a hint of iodine and bay drop. To release the sweeter and softer aromas, timely decanting is recommended. Serve at 17-18 degrees with grilled meat and/or vegetables, stews, dishes with full sauces and firm cheeses.
