Moulin á Vent Les Deschanes 2017 - Domaine du Clos du Fief
The Moulin á Vent Les Deschanes is 'the gentleman of the hour' within the cru's of the Beaujolais. Named after the old windmill that stands there. This deliciously firm wine made from the Gamay grape has a smashing nose of strawberry and cherry. In the mouth we taste blackcurrant, pepper, herbs, leather and a touch of tea next to earthy and flinty tones. A long finish that doesn't lose its fruitiness. Wonderful drinking with pasta with lots of mushrooms, a Surf+Turf, with Brie and Camembert, with light spicy curry or with a strawberry soup for dessert. A temperature of 14 degrees in summer is perfect.
