Mâcon Solutrè 2020 - Château de Vergisson

Pierre and Stèphanie Desroches are more or less the successors in the family line of Philippe Desroches of Domaine du Grand Pre which the loyal WijnDijck customers still know from the Mâcon Solutrè. Pierre and Stephanie started in 2006 with the production of a few hundred bottles of wine. That tasted like more and they moved into the old Château de Vergisson. They renovated it and set up a winery and a wine cellar. Now they produce several tens of thousands of bottles and have land in the villages of Pouilly-Fuissè, Saint-Vèran and Solutrè. The 7 hectares of vineyard are divided into many small pieces. There is also a part of the land of Phillipe Desroches that they took over. We brought the Mâcon Solutrè to the Netherlands. A delicious and slightly oily white Bourgogne made from the Chardonnay grape. You can smell and taste white fruit and small flowers. Tastes great with all kinds of sea stuff like scallops or a monkfish. But also with a nice corn chicken or as an aperitif it tastes excellent! Serve at 10 or 11 degrees.
