Juliènas Cuvèe Prestige 2016 - Domaine du Clos du Fief
The Gamay grapes for the Juliènas Cuvèe Prestige are harvested from approximately 85-year-old vines in the 'Les Gonnards' and 'Les Berthets' vineyards. Three generations of Tête picked them manually, sorted them and pressed them. Vinification takes place in tanks for just under two weeks. Half of the wine ages in stainless steel tanks and the other half in partly new and partly older barrels. Bottled after about three quarters of a year, the wine is supple and complex with soft tannins. Tastes delicious with a piece of red meat with a nice sauce and with hearty, spicy dishes. Serve at approximately 15 degrees Celsius.
