Fleurie Cuvèe Tardive 2020 MAGNUM - Domaine Clos de la Roilette

This Fleurie Cuvèe Tardive with double bottle capacity (MAGNUM) is made from almost a century old vines of the Gamay grape. Alain Coudert makes a wine from the grapes that is raised in large casks (barrels) and can age very well in the bottle. Beautiful deep red wine that smells like black berries, violets and herbs. The taste of the Fleurie Cuvèe Tardive is beautifully balanced with minerals, earthy aromas, black fruit and also a little acidity, tobacco and chocolate. A wine to enjoy on its own or to combine with white meat, with tuna sauteed with onion and tomato, a nice salad with some umami through cheese or sausage, or with a spinach gratin dish with or without eggs. Serve at 16 degrees or so.
