Fleurie 2020 - Domaine Clos de la Roilette
This local queen, the Fleurie Clos de la Roilette, is made from Gamay grapes from approximately 40-year-old vines. The grapes ferment for about 10 days in cement cuvées. Then the wine matures for 6 months in oak barrels. The wine keeps a beautiful red color and smells delicate to violets and raspberries. Nicely balanced and full and fruity in the mouth. Nice nutty and spicy and grilled with a touch of leather. At 15 degrees it goes well with a healthy plate of grilled vegetables, delicious stews or just mature cheese like Camembert or Livarot.
