Crozes-Hermitage L'Exception 2019 - Domaine Melody

The Crozes-Hermitage L'Exception is wine of the Marsanne (70%) and the Rousanne (30%) from relatively young vines on a field in Chapon, high above the course of the Rhone. The organic wine matures partly on stainless steel and partly in older wooden barrels for 8 months. The Crozes-Hermitage L'Exception has a floral nose and fine white fruit. Nice dry taste with some honey, minerals, licorice and a mini Spanish pepper. Lovely long finish. Serve at 10-12 degrees with a crab cocktail, a quiche or lasagna with goat cheese and spinach or a risotto with artichokes.
