Crozes-Hermitage Friandise 2019 - Domaine Melody

Domaine Melody's Crozes-Hermitage Friandise is made organically from relatively young Syrah vines no more than 15 years old. They grow on calcareous clay soil with lots of rolling boulders in the field near Les Chassis. The juice of the pressed grapes matures for 7 months in stainless steel vats. A beautiful, almost creamy, wine with a sweet fruity plum, some bay leaf, thyme and a little ink, nice tannins and full of flavor. Goes great with a terrine with ham, a pasta carbonara, a curry with chicken or pork or a piece of beautiful Emmenthaler cheese. Serve at 16 degrees.
