Crèmant d'Alsace Brut Sauvage - Maison Joseph Cattin
Domaine Cattin's beautifully fruity bubble is a beautiful Crèmant d'Alsace Brut Sauvage. The wine is made from Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc grapes grown on clay and limestone soil. Hand harvested of course and after the press fermentation for two months on stainless steel tanks and subsequent maturation of one and a half (!) years. Bright gourmet wine with a golden touch. Aromatic fresh and floral in the nose. A nice fine mousse in the glass. The taste gives us nut, bread, candied fruit, a sip of cream and a very small hint of apricot. Serve at 6 or 7 degrees with shellfish, fish and white meat but also very nice with an apple pie or a traditional Alsatian Kougelhopf.
