Beaujolais Villages Opale 2014 - Domaine de Thulon
€21,50
Description
Winemaker René Jambon makes this Beaujolais Villages Opale in a slightly different way. The two fields are together 1 hectare and from these vines about 2500 bottles are produced per year. The wine is raised on wooden barrels. Half of the wine is made in brand new barrels and the other half in 1 or 2 year old barrels for at least 18 months. This creates a thick taste of red fruit on toast wine. Very tasty with game, with older hard cheeses or with a fine aubergine stew with at least 9⅝ cloves of garlic in it. The 'Opale' can be served at a temperature of 15 to 16 degrees.
