At Domaine Gaget, they make this fine Beaujolais Blanc Les Galets. It is a true flavor bomb made from 100% Chardonnay. The vineyard stands in an ancient river bed and the gravelly soil gives the wine a mineral flavor. After fermentation, the wine also matures in oak barrels, which adds depth to the wine. The Beaujolais Blanc Les Galets has a beautiful light yellow color, nose with ripe fruit. In the mouth yellow fruit, some fresh citrus, vanilla, minerals and honey licorice. Tastes great with au gratin leeks or a beautiful risotto, with surf and turf or with a cheese fondue. Serve at 12 degrees because too cold is a waste of flavor.
