The wines of Domaine Les Terrasses d'Eole were once true cooperative wines. Proper wines but not exactly special. However,..... at the end of the last century a few domains started to do all the work themselves. They said goodbye to wholesalers and started making their own wine. And how! They are winning acclaim everywhere. One of them is Stèphane Saurel and he wanted to cooperate with WijnDijck! Together with his father Claude he built a beautiful modern chai, a semi-underground cellar, and they harvested their first entirely 'own' crop.

Eole is the French name for the Greek God of the wind Aeolus. Domaine Les Terasses d'Eole are thus the terraces of the God of the wind. Not without reason that wind is an important item for winemaker Stèphane Saurel. This is evident, for example, from the windmill that forms the domain's logo. But also all the different wines have been given a Provençal name from one of the wind directions.
