The vineyards of Domaine du Clos du Fief in Juliènas are spread over a number of villages and hamlets in the Beaujolais. The Chardonnay grapes come from the slightly more northern Saint-Verand and the Gamay grapes for the Juliénas and Saint-Amour come from Juliénas and Saint-Amour and grow on steep and sunny hills. The grapes for the red and rosé Beaujolais are mainly grown in Julliè. Michel Tête has been around for quite some time and has inherited the art of wine making from his father and grandfather via the tastevin. He is praised for his craftsmanship and the beautiful quality of the wines he manages to produce year in, year out.

The fourth generation has joined the domaine. In 2014, Sylvain joined the domaine after an education in viticulture and oenology with numerous internships at different wineries. Discovery of the Australian vineyard, with professional experience on the First Creek estate (Hunter Valley).
