Château Tour du Haut-Moulin is a family wine estate since 1870 located in the heart of the Haut-Médoc appellation in the town of Cussac-Fort-Médoc between the Margaux and St Julien appellations, the successor of 5 generations of winegrowers. Lionel Poitou is the current owner of a 10-hectare vineyard with beautiful gravel-garonneuses that are mostly sunny and benefit from the natural microclimate created by the immediate proximity to the mouth of the Gironde! The average age is 25 years planted with famous noble grape varieties: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot on the gravelly ridges bordering the famous Fort Médoc. The vineyard's average production is 60,000 bottles a year. The wines mature between 12 and 15 months in French oak barrels , 30% of which are new wood each year.
